when we came two years ago to junior world you know that was like the first big tournament that we went to mom bought me and my dad a basket we had no idea there was a course competition nothing then started learning a little bit of the forehand in the back end and then from then i was just hooked over the last year or two i've been the team manager for dynamic and west side it's very humbling watching a 12 year old throw a disc 500 feet you see some of these 12 year olds on the tee box and i'm going i'd pay for that form some of these juniors have thrown 10 30s 10 40s 10 50s if you take those rounds and you put them against a top pro they're right there with them these kids can play it was a completely different ball game i hear a lot of that from from the older generation of their parents are kind of like what are you doing what's this disc golf thing all about but nowadays it's like it's more convincing the kids to do it now you have people making a legitimate living these kids are seeing that and the parents are seeing it getting them started early they want to have that opportunity as much as possible to get to the pro level the competition is has exploded with junior disc golf not just a hobby anymore it's more like a professional sport how much more serious the kids are taking it the parents are taking it we usually don't travel much but we do travel for discs our main focus you know our resources our money everything is really put into disc golf driving accuracy distance consistency with distance always putting up shots and we have a net in our backyard so we're always driving i'm just practicing as hard as i can getting as good as i can as fast as i can working out eating right it's a real sport now they just want to push themselves to try to be as best as they can these kids get to meet other kids from all over the country all over the world the camaraderie is just second to none in our sport meeting other people you know making friends out on the course there's always more friends to make...
