winning your first nt kind of was like felt like winning your first worlds or you know it was like a huge accomplishment i was here for the very beginning i got to see the first events the nt was really kind of the first attempt at a tour series that had the bigger events at the main courses the foundation of the national tour was taking disc golf to the next level we're going to focus these six to 10 12 events on just the top pros they were always the highlight of the tournaments that you would hit if you were on tour they almost felt more prestigious that was it you had like six to eight events it gives the image which is a pretty big deal in disc golf to show how much people are actually involved in the sport that's when we would actually maybe have a gallery and we used to have the final nines they would have the largest fields they would have the biggest cash prizes you know the national tour was something the pdj put together as a tour series for pro players to hopefully put their life into the sport and win money i mean anytime something happened to try to make it easier for the players on tour to stay on tour we were all for it the focus with pdga has always been on the competition the pdga has the history they have uh you know the governing body they give us legitimacy pro tour has always been the media it's amazing to me how reactive they are in a positive way with the merger it's you know the best of both worlds we can continue elevating the sport for these top pros to a whole new level to marry those two entities and to have everybody working together for the benefit of the sport and the tour and the player gonna be a win-win-win for for all involved we're working together on all aspects of the tour together they will be invincible i talk to people on a daily basis that don't know anything about the sport but as soon as they see it on a professional level they want to go play the professional side of the sport is going to help it grow and really reach next levels and bring up the grassroots because they...
