Hi, I'm Beth Tanner. My number is 6123. I always like that because the last three numbers added up to the first, so it's easy to remember. I love woods courses. That was always my thing. I've always played sports and thrown Frisbees and some guy was playing came up on us and he had a bag full of discs that I'd never seen. Then he said there's a tournament this weekend here at Reedy Creek and I just thought that was golden. I was, I'm there. It was me as an AM and two pros and I beat the two pros. Just kind of knew immediately that I wanted to get better and better at this game. The first Worlds I went to was in 93 and that was in Alabama. And then the next two years, 94 and 95, they had it in Texas. So I was master's age when I started playing and decided in for the second time that that course that I would play masters. It's just totally different. I was just way more relaxed and I had a great time. And so then I was like, OK, been there, done that. Now I'll go back to playing Open in 96. The world's were in Indiana. Started off was way, way ahead. I ended up winning by 4 strokes, but I know at one time I was double digits ahead. I haven't played since about 2012, so I just started again last August. Time just escaped me. I wasn't able to practice like I wanted to be able to. It's in the baseball analogy. I feel like I've gone back to AAA for a little while here, but every now and then I get one of those throws that you go, Oh yeah, that's why I'm playing and I'll keep on playing. This sport is great. I mean, the people are wonderful. That's, that's what's magic about it. I'm just so looking forward to where disc golf is going to keep going because it's a it's a great game and glad to have been a part of it and to have come back to it.
