foreign show every evening you might notice a scene often happens before the credits well that's what we're doing here today I'm Grant Zellner here at the 2023 PDGA Masters Disc Golf World Championships before Terry steps in and we get to the action from day number two a special treat for you I am sitting here with the entirety of the MP 80 division Brothers on top of that Carlos and Spencer Rigby you all are the masters of the Masters and you're here this week it's inspiring first of all are you having a good time yeah we're we are really having a good time disc golf has always been something that I've really enjoyed I started playing simply because my doctor said I had to do something to lower my blood pressure and my uh sugar levels and so I chose disc golf because I could do it every day and I could enjoy it and I could find happiness in doing it and I had a social life while I was doing so it has been a real blessing to me about how old were you if you don't mind my asking when your doctor gave you this directive I was 68 years old 68 years old right and so therefore your your disc golf career started at 68 and is now spanned 15 years 20 years it's uh where are we 11 years I'm I'm at 87. 87 so from 68 to 87 right 19 years 19 years 19 years of throwing discs and and so that's been your career and in that career tell me about your noteworthy victories my noteworthy victory was uh the first one the first term when I ever won which is was in Monterey California and a person that said why don't you go play in the worlds and I said I don't think I I should I've never played in a tournament before and so I had a I'm a man of faith and I hear the voices in my head I'm sorry to say and the voice said to me go play disc golf and you'll be a world champion and it turned out that way so world champion already going for another this year six going for six total PDGA World Championship that's correct so your career has spanned 19 years uh Carlos Spencer how long...
