welcome to final round back 9 coverage of the 2022 united states women's disc golf championships it's the fa1 card from madison wisconsin i'm grant zellner along with jennifer allen we are about to crown a new fa1 champion nine more holes to go and this round has gone by very very quickly these players play fast they get in a rhythm and as of right now there you can see emily yale with a three-stroke lead overall virginia pokinghorn in second alexis kerman in just a few back yep yeah we're starting off hole number 10. this is our par 5 537 feet we need a clean drive off the tee distance is not that important what is important is staying off the rough on the left and the right if you're off to the left you're going to be able to approach the basket a little bit easier it is a downhill slope that goes quickly into the rough that surrounds the basket par five's giving these women plenty of room to just play it safe we need that to hyzer out that's emily yeah we they're getting really kind of if it seems like they're getting excited and trying to get everything they can on these longer holes but they have plenty of room um to reach and still birdie the basket with a shorter drive that's staying in the middle and that's coming from me miss aggressive so teach these girls some of the knowledge i've learned over the years that's where you want to land right in the middle alexis's approach is really good it's a little bit higher but that gets her on that left side which she will be able to see the basket a lot easier emily was lucky enough to stay on that outside edge nice fading shot emily was our only eagle of this hole yesterday it does not look like that's going to be a possibility today here's alexis she goes pretty big on that shot it looks like she kind of lost her focus on her release point virginia standing a little bit more still and everyone's kind of finding that right side our fourth member of this lead card cc vulbrecht up next she is from wisconsin yeah they're all putting a lot of angle and what happens what it looks like to me is there they...
