welcome back to opening round coverage of the 2022 pdga masters world championships onto the back nine here at northwood black with our feature mp40 card i'm grant zellner along with gary patton local pro here in the peoria area super knowledgeable about all that northwood has to offer and i i can't believe we've only played half of this round it already feels like a slog fest yeah it's this is an all-day all-day affair out here at northwood four and a half to five hour rounds not counting delays or backups common here at northwood black even amongst players of this caliber and we'll get a quick look here at where things stand for this feature card here two players under par and that is nothing uh there's no slouch about that at all both of these guys steve brinster and martin hendell amongst the leaders if not with the outright lead at this point in the tournament yeah anything under par on the front knight is fantastic hole number 10 a par 3 at 400 feet we're comparatively out of the woods here for a whole or two and a player's getting a chance to breathe enjoy a little bit of sunlight before going right back into the darkness this whole pretty straightforward at 400 feet yeah it's a very tight hole but even if you take an early tree kick you still have a good opportunity of getting up and down i would imagine we maybe see a couple rollers here and then a couple just down the middle air shots martin hendell of canada first on the box squeaks that tree and that shot looks beautiful and ends up drifting quite a bit long yeah it's hard to tell from the brief second we've seen this on video but the green does drop ball away a bit in a slanted i think steve is lining up a roller here yeah not surprised to see steve go to the roller he's very comfortable with that shot tries to cut it in here yeah and that looks great as well hoping to hit these bricks okay a little bit early but i'll have a long circle too look if he chooses to run it okay now dave feldberg at three over par certainly not out of things by any stretch of the imagination still inside the top...
