my name is karina weidner i'm from germany and my pdja number is 109579 i think i'm the only one participating from germany so i'm from iceland and my name is maria altay my pga number is 140660 my name is raul barcelo i'm pdj number 102 075 and i'm from guadalajara mexico my name is tanis traynor uh i my pga number is 138.127 i'm from halifax nova scotia so atlantic canada my name is ilkin grow my pdga number is 14583 and i'm from the united states of america my name is curtis shane gregory pdga170841 from england united kingdom from a city called sheffield so from canada there's 13 from coast to coast we've got nova scotia right to bc and i'm the only woman from iceland there are five of us girls here competing this year right now from mexico there's eight people participating the disc golf scene in germany is pretty cool not that huge yet but it really grew during covet there were so many players um joining the sport especially the ultimate players that weren't able to play their team sports anymore the disc golf scene in mexico is absolutely new it's a new sport to the country maybe about five years ago there were pretty much no courses or people didn't really know about it at all there were some local courses where some people would go play but that's about it and it wasn't very big there weren't any pdja tournaments or anything like that and in the last five years we've gone from me being the only mexican playing in m worlds in 2018 to now there's eight of us in 2022 which is pretty cool the disco scene in my country is just amazing and it's flourishing right now we've got the most courses per capita out of any country in the world and the number of players competing in pga events has over quadrupled i believe just over the past two years i'm feeling great i'm here to compete and i hope to be up there among the top i love participating in m worlds it's really fun it's really the best tournament that you can play as an amateur uh the prestige just how cool the courses are and getting to travel to different places is the best i'm excited nervous but like nervous excitement because like...
