2021 PDGA Pro Worlds - Day 3 Recap

Cameron McKillin is back on behalf of the PDGA to bring you the recap of Day 3 at the 2021 Pro Worlds. The day got off to a challenging start in Ogden as temperatures dropped and pressure rose. Paige Pierce struggled in the woods, barely holding onto her lead, but was joined by Katrina Allen at the top of the leaderboard after a strong performance that cut a four-stroke deficit. Washington's Sai Ananda also impressed with a standout FPO round three under par, moving up seven spots on the leaderboard. McKillin chats with Psy about her breakthrough performance, revealing how she tempered herself playing tougher courses and disc golf since age 13. The video also takes you through the exciting moments at Mulligan's Course, where the competition heated up.

welcome everybody cameron mckillin here on behalf of the pdga day three started off with gray skies as the 2021 world championships across the halfway point temperatures dropped as pressure rose in ogden on thursday kicking the day off at the fort the ladies struggled to score in the woods as fpo leader paige pierce was barely able to hold on to the lead as she struggled in the back nine finishing her third round at four over par bringing her running score up to seven joining paige at the top of the leaderboard is none other than katrina allen who was able to make up the four-stroke deficit finishing her round at even par and tying her up with paige for first place we asked kat how it feels to be in the lead would a world championship be everything yes but if i think about that right now until sunday i'm gonna make myself sick and so i'm trying to just enjoy the process and know that win or lose i put my heart and soul into it and if i win i know it was all worth it you know today's most impressive fbo performance came from washington sai ananda who has appeared at both junior and amateur worlds sly shot three under bringing her running score back up to even par and moving her up seven spots on the leaderboard from 12th to fifth we got an exclusive interview with psy after her breakthrough performance here at worlds so the courses that i played growing up i started playing when i was about 13 years old and i'm about 25 now so just over 10 years just over 11 years now honestly but um i grew up playing really tough courses really wooded courses and the elevation is pretty tough in washington as well so discs don't glide like they do in oregon or other places i wanted to temper myself so i had a really long amateur career as well so i played in advanced and in juniors for a really really long time because i knew the disc golf was something that i was going to do for a long time over at mulligans the class were here to stay as was the win the men may have been happy about the break from the heat but there was no break from the ob...
