so last week on scratch to scratch trevor and i met for the first time i got to know his personality i got to know that he has a background in sports he played a little bit of hockey a little bit of baseball different things like that he also covers college sports he breaks down film i believe and so that was good to know it gave me the opportunity to give him some homework going into this next episode which will be our first lesson ever i had him look up the best disc golfers and how their form works i wanted him to kind of break down the film because he's used to that so he wasn't coming into today cold turkey so we're gonna head to kilbourn park and we're actually not gonna play on the course we're gonna go to the field i don't want to get him on the course too early because a lot of times you get beginners on there and they want to impress you or they just want to get the lowest score as possible that's that is the game but i want to focus on fundamentals with him first before we get him out on the course i know he's highly competitive and so it's really important to tune somebody down and get those fundamentals before you kind of get them on the course we are out here for lesson number one with paul got to meet him not too long ago when we were back at another round and he was explaining to me some of the things that hopefully that we're going to be able to do today the goal is to turn me into a scratch disc golfer and so i guess it it completely starts here and he had me do some homework i watched some of those guys they uh they made it look very easy which gives me probably some false confidence here because i'm probably gonna get out there and realize that i look nothing like any of those guys there's a lot of technicalities that go into how you pulled the disc back how to throw from distances that are far near intermediate all that kinds of stuff and so i'm a little bit nervous but i really am i'm mostly excited to get it going today so this is my...
