Brad vs the bruiser Green mountain Challenge!!

Brad takes on the legendary Bruiser Green Mountain Challenge at Smugglers’ Notch in Vermont. Set on the number 16 par-4, this 710-foot straightaway features a difficult center-field layout where players must clear the gates and navigate a high-rise basket. The challenge is no joke, with the course often feeling like a par-10 for average players due to its demanding conditions. Brad approaches the round with a clear goal: not just to score well, but to survive the brutal gauntlet and get "bruised up" in the process. His first drive lands outside the fairway, leading to a tough recovery shot that keeps him in the hunt. After two mediocre attempts, Brad switches to his Ken Climo prototype Skyway disc, aiming for a five to stay competitive against the field. The highlight of his round comes near the hole, where he chooses a sidearm "Annie" shot straight at the pin rather than relying on a backhand. Though he falls a million miles short, the disc lands within reach, offering a chance at a solid score. This description captures the essence of the challenge: the struggle, the specific equipment used, and the playful yet competitive spirit of navigating one of disc golf’s most notorious obstacles at Smugglers’ Notch.

[music] Baby, [music] back sports fans from around the world out here with the bomb and bigles. Beautiful Smuggler's Notch, Vermont. Number 16, par4. Looks like a par 10 to me, but uh 710 ft. straightaway center field. Then you got to get out of the gates to a basket. Sits in a little uh little bit of a highrise, I think. Yeah, man. Uh not a whole lot of game. I'm going to see what I can do here. If I can hit the fairway, I got an outside chance. But always said it's not about me making a good score, which is what I want to do. It's about getting bruised up. So, it's probably going to happen. Here we go. >> [snorts] >> Yep. Let the bruising begin. >> You did anything. >> Actually, that's super lucky. >> That's all right. >> That does not have four written all over it. >> In the words of Ulie, cooked. I mean, this is not the easiest shot, but it's doable. Try to get it up there in position to try to get up and down, which probably won't happen, but we'll see. >> All right, got a shot. >> It's in the middle. Didn't go for much. You know, I mean, when you're bruised up and you're trying to play a bruiser, it's not easy. So, I got to try to keep the number down to at least a seven or a nine or something like that. Okay, after two mediocre shots, I'm where a good drive goes for the big boys. And uh zero chance I'm getting home. But uh I got my Ken Climo prototype Skyway. Boy, one of my favorites. Uh, I'm going to give it a rip. You know, if I keep it in bounds, it's a five at worse. And there's a lot of guys are going to make bigger numbers than that. So, I could be pleased with that. All right. Keep it in bounds, super clown. Good shot. That'll do, mate. >> Yep. >> Back in the 1940s, that would have been uh to the pin because I used to be able to do that. >> All right. Straight at the pin, a million miles short, but within reach. This is a doable shot for me. I could flip a little backhand, but I really like the sidearm from here. A...
