what's up everybody and welcome to another episode of down the fairway in today's episode of down the fairway i have five-time world champion paige pierce and we're gonna give you our two best tips for making putts outside the circle or longer putts so first i'm going to hand the camera over to her and she's going to give you her best tip for making those long putts yeah so for me whenever i'm focusing on a putt i'm focusing a lot on pushing off my back leg so as a right-handed player my left leg i'm thinking about a lot from about 10 feet i'm only barely pushing off but when i get outside the circle like julie's talking about i really have to focus on that back left leg and put a lot of my body weight down and really spring off that leg i think that's the biggest tip that i could give you guys for getting your disc to be able to get to the basket what a great tip from paige pierce making sure that you load that power on that back leg so that it gives you that little extra momentum so that you can stay consistent outside the circle my best tip that i can give you today is i've always tried to cut the putt in half now a lot of people are more comfortable at shorter distances of course so then i just pretend that i'm putting let's say from 60 feet that i'm putting a 30 footer with the power of a 60 footer but i'm aiming at a 30 foot point maybe in the sky or just visualizing the basket thing only at 30 foot the way that you can do this is by understanding what your 30 foot putt looks like or your 20 foot putt looks like then adding a little extra power and it cuts the putt in half for example i'm going to put this putt and i'm going to show you where i want my putter to hit halfway to the basket and if i get to that point then i know my putter will fly the rest of the way into the basket cutting the outside the circle putt in half can take a little bit of the stress of making a long putt out of it because then you're practicing a...
