what's up everybody and welcome to another episode of down the fairway in today's episode of down the fairway i'm going to be giving you guys some homework i'm going to ask you guys to practice a couple things that a lot of people overlook and if they were to practice this they become a lot more consistent and better especially playing in the woods the first thing i want you guys to start practicing is the awkward putts now a lot of people go out and they practice your standard putts straddles they might even go to a knee practice a couple knee putts but it's very seldom that you see people practicing the stretch out back to the basket putt that we so often find ourselves in this position yet we don't practice it and the same thing goes for the patent pending fairway stretch out you have no look but you have to stretch out as far as you can to try to hit the fairway a lot of people in the woods find themselves in this position and then they absolutely have no other option they have to throw this throw but when i see people going to the field or practicing right before a tournament nobody's practicing this shot which means over the duration of your career you're only practicing this maybe once twice a tournament and it's actually in tournament play so get to the field and practice these specific things one of the things i want you to make sure of when you're practicing this is that you have enough room between the tree and your arm to make a full swing so standing with your back to the pin and making sure you're spread out enough to where you can make that full swing without having any sort of chance to hit your hand on that tree i hope you guys enjoyed this episode of down the fairway if you did please like share and subscribe leave a comment in the comment section below and until next time i'll see you down the fairway you
