welcome back to another episode of down the fairway in today's episode of down the fairway i have found two of the best scramblers on tour jeremy colin and dan hastings and they're gonna give you two of their best tips for getting out of trouble or unique tips that they've learned over the years for saving scores on the course so we've made our way up to the green here and i found my lie just outside the circle and now i've got a whole guardian of bushes in my way for the putt what you see a lot of times is a player get back here only to find themselves with no putt gotta take an awkward stance really no way to get a good clean lie as you can see i hit a tree right out of the gap now my tip for the day is to know the rules because every once in a while you can use the rules to your advantage in this situation because i'm outside the circle i can get a plant foot behind my lie while my other foot is in front of my life inside the circle important tip here do not disturb any of the stuff behind you because you're not allowed to back up into any of the obstacles in front of your lock but if you can get back there cleanly so now i've got a good stance here behind my lie my other foot's in front now if i were to just putt this normally it obviously would be a football however if i raise this foot and putt while this foot's in the air then i've executed a good clean legal putt and avoided all the things behind my life i tend to be an aggressive player and sometimes when you're an aggressive player on these tight-wooded fairways you find yourself in some sticky situation so if you look in here obviously off the fairway and there's really no options anyway there's no real way to swing so when i look through here i see i have a nice little forehand uh roller window and in this situation if i were to use a driver i would go way past the basket because that downhill slope so in a situation like this my tip is learning how to utilize the forehand roller with a putter...
