Tour Courses Need to be Designed for FPO Grip Locked Clip
The FPO's dominant performance at the MPO event has raised questions about the role of par in golf. Hosts and fans often debate that par is relative in stroke play, but for those who don't follow the FPO closely, such as Paige and Calvin, scoring under par can be a much more meaningful metric. This video explores how course design plays a crucial role in the FPO's ability to showcase their skills. By analyzing the similarities between the top scores of FPO and MPO events, it becomes clear that the FPO field is being catered for with courses designed to accentuate their technical abilities. This includes factors such as limited pushing distance, which sets them apart from their MPO counterparts. The video delves into the strategies and techniques employed by FPO players, and how course designers can create a more level playing field for this talented group of athletes.

you know on the other side of the coin we had a very close battle with the mpo fpo this has got to be one of the most dominant performances we've seen it was a runaway it and one thing that i loved about this tournament uh and i remember when the first time i said it on this podcast was but one of the things i love about this tournament is if you look at like the top of the fpo leaderboard and compare it to the top of the mpo leaderboard right scores are looking very similar so what now why is that important um because every time i talk about this the same comments come up of well that doesn't matter par is relative right uh like paige shooting 33 down and calvin shooting 31 down the score under par doesn't matter because it's a stroke game you're playing the course i get that as a player that makes sense go out shoot the best you can whatever as a fan that's not the same thing that's not the case par does matter as a fan because as a fan if you didn't watch the fpo and i did okay and i'm like dude i walk up to you the next day i'm like paige shredded the final round you're like oh what you shoot i'm like she shot two down yeah then that just like okay but deflating yeah yeah whereas in this case i would come up to you paige shredded the final round like what you shoot 14 down it doesn't matter that they might both be 1044 rated okay but it being 14 down puts this little more just like oh frick like that's a hot round on our minds so i think this is a perfect example of the fpo field the course being designed and set up for their game to where they can shoot you know use their skills the more technical side you know they don't a lot of them don't have the same type of pushing distance and stuff like that that the mpo side has use this like making the pars and stuff fit the fpo skill set so that we can see scores like this that is great for the fpo field in my opinion i think so it makes a better headline it's a lot...
