Gannon Buhr Told Us To Play This SNEAKY HARD Course in Iowa
Gannon Buhr and Foundation Nation are out in Des Moines at Southwood Disc Golf Park, one of Iowa's best courses, for a fun round before heading to the Discmania Challenge. The duo decided on a best shot doubles format, aiming to set a record of 50 strokes (10 under par) currently held by singles players. With Gannon's guidance, they're looking to take on the challenge and secure a birdie look at hole one. The course features a mix of holes, including a par three with a pump-like throw required for a smooth exit. Foundation Nation discusses their strategy, from choosing the right disc - in this case, the Discmania Cornerstone - to navigating the obstacles in front of them. What is good Foundation Nation? Today we're out here in Des Moines for the Discmania Challenge playing one of the best courses in Iowa. >> [music] >> So what we decided to do we're just getting a little fun round in this morning before we head over to Discmania Challenge. We're stoked to be out here have a lot of fun stuff going on this week. Southwood we talked to Gannon last night we're like hey we want a fun course to play that we can kind of get in and out of before the round tomorrow and he said Southwood. It's designed by Avery Jenkins is a disc golf park course seems like a lot of fun. So what we're going to do is play a little best shot doubles and try to shoot the best round that's been put up this month. So currently that's a 50 which is 10 under par. So we have to shoot 11 under to set that record. Um obviously they did it in singles we're going to try to do it in doubles but hey a record's a record. So hole one 370 par three dead straight away there. Um it's kind of a pump. Kind of a pump to kind of get out the car and get your hips fired. You going to go through the left? left. Oh okay. ceiling everything. It's definitely choose your path. Yeah I like that a little more and I'm going to go with our cornerstone here. We had a restock of these a few weeks ago. Um so I don't know if there's any still left on the site but foundationdisc.com or your favorite local retailer if you have an in person store. Let them know to hit up Gateway carry the cornerstone.
