Do Hype Discs Actually Fly Better? | Disc Golf Challenge
Do Hype Discs Actually Fly Better? Disc golf enthusiasts have long debated whether hype discs bring an edge to one's game. To settle the question, Foundation Nation puts a stock bag to the test against a collection of highly sought-after discs, including those from Rock and Buzz collab boxes. The experiment pits two different disc golfers - Trevor and another player - against each other at the New London Shorts course on the FPO layout. With 12 holes to play, they'll see if hype discs truly make a difference in performance. The video will explore the effects of high-end discs versus generic stock ones, with a focus on technique, stability, and overall playing experience. From tour series Cicada and Beast to Arctic Assassin P2X, watch as the pros take aim at par 4s like the 500-ft hole one, and discover if hype discs are worth the extra cost for serious golfers.

What is good Foundation Nation? Today we're seeing what all the hype's about by putting a just boring old stock bag to the test against the hypest discs you've ever seen. >> [music] >> So essentially Trevor will be playing with a bag made up entirely of discs that people get riled up about. People get excited about. So this is from the like Rock and Buzz collab box for example. He's got Buzz saws in there, tour series stuff. One of the discs has money printed on it for cuz why not? And then on the other hand, I just have generic stock discs. So these are mainly from our used section. They're just stock runs you can get anywhere, anytime. And we're just going to play head-to-head out here 12 holes at New London Shorts and see if the hype is all worth it. Cuz a lot of times people are paying stupid prices for these discs. We're going to see if that actually makes you play better the most scientific way we know how by taking two different disc golfers and playing them head-to-head. Starting off with we're playing the FPO layout. We have a 500-ft par 4 here, hole one. I'm going to go with this Beast, champ Beast. >> I mean this is a perfect way to lead off. Just >> A little worn in. >> Beat up, inked all over. >> Uh but I think it'll fly good. >> Oh, what a Wow, what a line. Are you kidding me? >> Little kiss left. >> That was so sneaky. >> That Beast might need to just actually end up in my real bag. >> Okay, I got a lot of options. We'll go tour series Cicada to start the day. Ah! I actually hit the line, but a little bit too late to flip. I think I on the FPO though, like that's pretty good still. That's okay. Here you go, forehand here. Got a little special blend Ledgestone Halex. Super hype. >> Oh, it's stable. >> Yeah. The Halex is just a better feeling Raptor. >> That thing is beef. Oh my gosh. Almost made it to Hunter's drive, but I have a great opportunity to make up and down for par and then maybe lose one shot at most. We're going Arctic Assassin P2X. >> Mhm. >> I'm actually awful. >> Yeah,...
