Paul McBeth on the Playoff at Worlds - Nick and Matt Show
Paul McBeth opens up about his experience playing in the playoff at Worlds, sharing insights into the mental game and pressure he faced during that pivotal moment. Nick and Matt discuss their own interactions with Paul, including a memorable tee time in 2014 where Paul let James Edens take the lead. Paul reflects on how this decision affected him, feeling like he put too much pressure on himself to match James' performance throughout the round. He discusses how he shifted into match play mode, instead of continuing to execute his game plan, and admits to "juicing" the pressure. The conversation provides a unique look at the mental side of competitive disc golf, with Paul McBeth offering candid advice on how to stay focused under pressure and maintain composure in high-stakes situations.
