Gannon Burr, a 16-year-old sensation, surprised everyone with a fourth-place finish. The duo attributes the preserve's ability to deliver back-to-back thrilling finishes to its par-5 18th hole, which can produce scores ranging from three to six. hello everyone and welcome to griplock foundation disc golf weekly podcast i'm hunter joined as always by trevor and let's just jump right into this we had the preserve go down last weekend and it brought a pretty thrilling finish yet again we had ricky winning by one over eagle paul macbeth coming in third and normally we only do the top three but gannon burr 16 year old came in fourth we'll talk about that again in a second but um part of the reason i think that the preserve has been able to deliver back-to-back thrilling finishes has been the 18th hole yeah because the 18th hole is a par 5 that is capable of producing realistically threes through sixes i saw some seven and eights in the field i think i even saw a nine in the field but realistically there's a b when you're approaching the hole and stuff like that so where you could get a five or a six on it but the pros are capable of three in it as well yeah so if you're within like two strokes going to the final hole you got a shot still i've yeah i think i've decided that because of the nature of disc golf and just the way scoring works in the sport that a hard part par five or at least a par five where three four and five are all in play like at least three different possibilities it makes for the most interesting things well the same with a four two three four yeah i mean it's really i i like the five i like the five i think in disc golf i think the five you have a better chance of having that three-stroke possibility whereas a four a lot of times fours are a little bit tougher to do that um i'm i'm a fan of the finishing haul it was it was really exciting yeah because i think the legitimately to a tough eagle even for the biggest arm yeah so like that is why i really liked it yeah i mean it's just like the whenever there's a par three finishing hole that's not tough not like a tough par three because there's some tough part threes where a three feels good right and it can play kind of like a par four where there's a two...
