analysis techniques adjustments highlights this is the LT world films hello everybody jo mom our son here and welcome back to another edition of the ulti old film room today's video is going to be the first of a series looking at common plays in ultimate this video is going to serve as an introduction or we're going to go over some of the general elements of what makes a good pole play how to choose the best pole plays for your team and how to make adjustments to your plays depending on the conditions in the game or what the defense has been doing so the first thing you're gonna want out of the good pole play is you want to have multiple options this makes the play harder for the defensive guard even if they know exactly what's coming and it allows your offense to react to what the defense is doing and take whatever option is open it also means that you can tweak your play a little bit more easily depending on the conditions in the game or what the defense has been doing throughout the game next thing you want out of a good play is either the potential to score quickly within a handful of throws or at the very least you want to make sure that you're getting into your offensive flow you don't want to be in a situation where if the pole plague doesn't work then you're stranded with the disc in an unfavorable position finally you want to get your players in the best possible positions to succeed if you have a player who's a great break thrower initiating a play to the break side is a great way to take advantage of that if you have a cutter who has great Huck's getting them the disc on and under with a deep cut can be a great way to push that advantage and if you have a dominant deep threat then of course having a play where they're going deep in a one-on-one situation can give you a quick score next thing we're going to go over is how to make adjustments to your plays depending on the situation in the game first thing we'll talk about is wind your going downwind you want to make sure that you're giving yourself at least one good deep option right away...
