life I'm the disc golf guy and this is my video blog today I'm in Rockford Illinois with my good buddy and friend Mike schweger we just got done competing in the Arctic blast doubles tournament which was an exterior event through the PDGA Mike and I started off a little bit slow during our second round and one of the tips from the pros we're going to talk about today is kind of the mental game when you're playing like I said we had a rough start we actually missed three of the holes in the first we missed three birdies in the first four holes and from there I wanted to ask Mike Mike what were you thinking when we missed those first couple of easy holes Oh I thought it was rough because those are definitely holes that uh we should definitely get but uh we picked it up after that and finished pretty strong we did we finished really strong actually we missed three of the first four holes we missed another one a couple holes later and then we got 11 birdies in a row to finish another tip for the pros would be even though we were on this really hot streak we were in sync we had actually put together 11 birdies in a row were you thinking about that at all when that was happening well I did a little bit but I didn't want to think too much about it I knew we had a bunch strung together and uh I didn't want to ask you how many we actually did have strong together so and that's a good point you'll you'll find a lot of people especially at the amateur ranks will talk about their scores they'll think oh what do we get here what do we do there or we miss this hole or we got a couple easy birdie holes that are coming up and if we had one tip that we could give you today it would be that don't think about your score you can't you can't change what happened in the previous Halls all you can do is move forward and stay positive for the holes that are coming ahead another thing we want to talk about today is we're already here we're in Rockford this is one of the places you find a Gateway...
