B- roll. I'm the disc golf guy and this is my video blog. We're out here at the Greater Milwaukee Open. I'm surrounded by two champions today. One John Turlap and one Mike New House. And we're sitting right in front of Mike New House's basket. Even a beautiful uh colored Mach 5 by DGA. Not bad for uh his efforts today out here in the advanced division. I'm going to start with you, Mike. You played over at uh uh Dretzka this morning and then Brown Deer. Tell us about how you shot. Um I felt like I played all right. I uh kept the disc in the fairway, tried to stay out of trouble. Um got my deuces when I could. Didn't try to force anything. Got my pars when I needed to and enjoyed myself. And ironically enough, Mike New House, who won the advanced division today, shot the exact same score as our open division winner, who shot very solid as well. This is John Turlap out of Nino, Wisconsin. John, you started over at Brown Deer and then came over here to Dreadska. How did you attack the bushes? Uh, same way. Just right down the middle. First time I played Brown Deer. So, uh, just try to keep it, uh, out of the, uh, the bushes, the trees, and just get my pars. So, smart play, you would say, uh, by both of you today, probably trying nothing flashy. Take your medicine when you need to. These are really challenging courses. These were two of the courses that were used uh, during the AM Worlds here in 2007. They were beefed up a little bit so everybody was challenged. Uh do you have anything you want to say to anybody about the Milwaukee area, John? Uh no. Really enjoyed the tournament. Thought uh there definitely two great courses. Uh come out and play next year. Mike, uh Mike comes from Madison, which is also a mecca for disc golf here in Wisconsin. Plays a lot of great golf over there. Mike, tell us about Madison scene and what you see in Milwaukee as well. Um Madison's pretty fun. Uh we don't have nearly as many courses as we should. Um, something that we strive to be like the Milwaukee clubs are is getting more disc golf courses in the ground, more courses to play....
