I'm the disc golf guy and this is my video blog. We're here at the 2014 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships and I am joined by our two leaders in the open men and open women's divisions, Paul Ulberry and Katrina Allen. We're here at the Fly Mart actually and uh day one is in the books. We're going to start with you Katrina. Uh I believe you were out there at Blue Lake. Tell everyone loud and clear what was going on out at Blue Lake today. Um to be honest, I started with a couple bogeies and wasn't really feeling it, so I just went to laying it up out there and actually turned out to be a very good plan. The smart play is laying it up. Uh, how were your competitors uh attacking the course? Were they being relatively conservative or were they being aggressive? Um, seems on polls that I was gaining strokes on by laying up that they were being more aggressive and I felt that it wasn't necessary because he could still get there too by laying up. All right. And what was the score that you shot out there? Uh, 56. And now you uh who else was in your group? Let's start there. um Val, Paige in practice. Okay. So, very stacked group with some of our I'm guessing we're going to see uh a number of them near the leaderboard throughout the rest of the week. Um any any game plan for the next few rounds? Um we're going to Milo a little less OB, so a little more room to be aggressive, but I think as long as I, you know, just stay out of trouble is my plan always. Just patient and slow and steady. And that's a good rule of thumb on and off the course. Just stay out of trouble. That's That's what I try to do. It doesn't always work. All right, we're joined by Paul. Paul was featured in our battle at Blue Lake on Smashbox TV. Paul, uh, I'm going to rewind in my head here. I think it was 2010ish. One of my early video blogs featured you in the lead at the Worlds. So, welcome back. I I think I've talked to you since then. Yeah, I have. All right. Tell everyone how it went out there for you today....
