The Disc Golf Guy - Vlog #185 - Disc Golf Video Game / App Titled "Unchained" by Local Route Labs
The Disc Golf Guy's latest vlog is an exciting update on his new disc golf video game, Unchained, developed by Local Route Labs. The game is set to release in 2014 for mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. Joined by Adam and Tyler at the Glide Pro Shop in Madison, Wisconsin, the team discusses their project's features and progress. The conversation touches on the game's potential expansion to consoles, as well as the challenges of programming advanced features like rollers, which mimic real-world throwing mechanics. With thousands of dollars already invested in licensing and software costs, Adam shares his experience with the labor-intensive process of bringing Unchained to life outside of his day job. As the team prepares for launch, they reflect on the input from players and fans who have helped shape the game's development.
