Hello everyone and welcome back for another installment of your PDGA global board of director interviews where I'm letting you get to know our candidates just a little bit better. I've got a script of essentially eight or so questions that we're asking of all the board candidates and today I'm joined by PDGA number 2450 in Conrad Damon. Conrad, thank you for joining us. The first question I'm going to say is the easiest. go ahead and introduce yourself. Hi, my name's Conrad Damon. I've been playing disc golf for an awfully long time. Uh, as you can guess from my PDGA number of, uh, 2450. Um, and I got hooked on it quickly. I first played in Huntington Beach, but then uh, really got hooked on it in uh, my hometown of Kansas City. uh and I enjoyed it so much I once I found out there were tournaments I wanted to start helping. So I eventually started looking at uh a number of volunteer roles uh which I've I've uh done throughout the past few decades and have earned yourself quite a few accolades in doing so. So thank you for everything that you've done. We're going to move on to why are you running for the global board of directors and what will your priorities be and then what issues will you choose to champion from that seat and I can repeat any of those. I know that's kind of question three questions but why are you running for the global board of directors? Take the first one. So uh I ran three years ago after after having been on the board uh in the late 90s early 2000s. uh then mostly turned my my efforts to the the rules. Um but then uh the reason I ran for the board a few years ago was because of uh the the explosion in interest and participation uh due to COVID. Uh you know, I always like to ask a a veteran player, you know, a little bit of a trick question like what's the best thing ever to happen to disc golf? Some would say, well, the holding shot or, you know, the amazing PIO's, amazing albatross. And I'm like, nope, nope. Those were great.
