hello everyone and welcome to round number one of the 2022 maricopa open tim miller the disc golf guy along with nick newton as we're out here at the copper sky disc golf course and we have our defending champ adam hammes here today along with him mike lassie third on the card being austin turner and fourth rounding out the card is jordan castro and nick you weren't on this card we'll talk maybe a little bit later about the scores but one windy day out here at copper sky wasn't it oh yeah i mean it was absolutely windy i really appreciate you having me on the commentary today and super pumped to get the season started so let's watch some awesome disc golf and definitely windy today yeah here's hole number one as we're seeing the drone fly over a little bit different t-pad this year of course the ob directly behind the basket and again we can't overstate enough just the wind that's out here here's your two-time defending champ adam hammonds he's going right up the cut yeah this was a safe play for sure trying to get through the trees straight up the gut because you weren't really playing with any ob but it was windy definitely a good sizable tailwind here as lassie definitely smacks the tree tail wouldn't come into effect for sure and that is going to be considered out of bounds right off the bat here's austin turner looks like a raptor of some sort yeah i'm going to spoil it right now folks almost every throw by any discrap representative is a raptor here today that was their go-to as turner oh parking the shot what a great read throwing it a little shorter than he normally would obviously because of the tailwind jordan taking that up the middle route oh and just squeaking ob i mean it was so easy to do especially when you were throwing anything over an eight-speed disc today for sure so mike goes it's back to the t it's actually a re-t at this point and talk about just daunting knowing here you are yeah you really want to put it close after you throw it ob off the tee and having to re-t and he throws a pretty pretty decent shot just a little short from saving any type of uh any...
