2021 Shelly Sharpe • Round 1 • Back 9 • Adam Hammes • Tristan Tanner • AJ Herr
The 2021 Shelly Sharp Memorial opening round feature card is featured in this video, showcasing the back nine of the round where players Adam Hammes and Tristan Tanner are aiming to ride their momentum from closing out holes nine with birdies. Gary "the o" and Terry Miller join forces to provide commentary as the players navigate the challenging course. The discussion highlights the unique aspect of playing into a tailwind on the back nine, which makes things no easier than they already were in the front nine. With four-handed shots being the preferred strategy due to the presence of the mandolin obstacle, viewers can see how these golfers are using side-arm techniques to navigate the course's second-easiest hole in terms of relative difficulty. The commentary provides an engaging look at the strategies and stances employed by players as they attempt to secure birdies on this cut-and-dry hole.
