hello everyone and welcome to the 2021 mixed doubles at the pro world championships we're at the fort it's terry miller the disc golf guy with special guests tyler brickley tyler we've got the mixed doubles and defending champions here madison walker and zach melton from 2019 joining them our european contingency silver lot along with kristin tatar you ready to take on the fort i am so glad i don't have to take on the fort but i am super stoked to watch these guys do it i think if anybody could give the defending champs a run for their money it would be uh the estonians they are incredible they had just landed literally within the last few days before coming out here not fully acclimated and they're gonna take on this brutal course again we're here at the fort hole number one right off the bat i'm also gonna give a big shout out to gk pro for lending me their drone footage madison walker's on the t so talk to me about the format is this what what are we doing we're doing best shot we're doing worst shot or what was the setup on this day yeah this is great during first round this is what they call a modified best shot and what that means is any team cannot take three consecutive drives by the same person so if they take say madison's drive on one and two they have to take zach's drive on hole number three so there is some strategy that will come in as to whose drive you may or may not take depending if you're trying to kind of always have your option on the next hole but it was a great tee shot there by melton and does that that only applies to the tee shots it does yeah approach shots putts all those none of that matters otherwise that straight up best shot it just comes down to the tee shots and it's really a great rule i feel like that was implemented as we're seeing kristen inbounds um so that one player just couldn't go out and surely dominate on any given layout you know you can have a man or a woman carry the team with every single drive i think it was a way to kind of even things out a little bit yeah...
