hello everyone and welcome to the 2021 pdga board of director candidate interviews i'm terry miller the disc golf guy and i have again partnered up with the pdga to go through this list of questions to get to know our 2021 candidates just a little bit better hopefully you'll make a well-informed decision and like i said get to know each of our individuals and tonight we're talking with michael munn and michael i'm going to tell you these are going to start off pretty easy and the first one for you is how long have you been a pdga member and how long have you played disc golf i've been a pdj member since about 2015. i joined after finding the the sports um when my wife was pregnant with our first child i did a lot of mountain biking and when she became pregnant i settled down and started looking for something here close that i could i could do close to home and this golf was introduced to me and i quickly became involved with my local club and became a member in 2015. i've been playing this sport since a young age my parents introduced me to freestyle at the beach when i was young and then i played ultimate frisbee in the church league and things like that i didn't play competitive disc golf until probably 2015. all right and so you did you sign up for the pdj pretty much right away then or pretty much right away i think uh i started in october actually it would have been uh yeah 2014 i would have started uh right at the end of 2014 and i think i signed up at the beginning of 2015. okay and i think you've kind of already touched on the third little piece of that question which is what drove you to the sport and you kind of answered that but then what what was it about the sport that got you uh presumably hooked right away well i think it was just i'm naturally competitive i have three brothers we competed at everything and it was something that was new and fresh and um i played a lot by myself in the first few months and then soon to you know discovered uh the culture of disc golf is very friendly and uh some of my...
