hello everyone and welcome to the 2020 idyllwild open presented by dynamic desk terry miller the disc golf guy alongside matt graham and matt we've got a great card here today oh yeah we do gary gerthy calvin heinberg these are crushers out there we got eric oakley and then rounding out the card we've got chris clemons these are some really good players we were lucky to film them and we are at one of the best courses in the united states one of the highest rated courses you'll find anywhere we're in burlington kentucky for the ida wild open here's hole number one 638 feet and what a beautiful opening hole there's some danger off to that left side and then it slopes down and off to the right as well the tournament director was saying that it used to be really rough on that right side and it's cleaned up throughout the years and of course you got an elevated pin to get you started as well here's double g seems like the play is to throw a high-speed driver and just let it kind of flip out just a little bit and ride all the way down and hopefully give yourself an easy three but in this case garrett's just doing carrot things first drive of the day he proclaims with a smile on his face it was his first drive of the day i believe that is a wraith and he threw it about 620 feet no big deal yeah as you can see here one of the problems with having such a big arm you're gonna flip your discs over and you're gonna catch those trees on the right but you should still be able to save your three out of there yeah this really sets up great for a big arm they could be looking at an eagle opportunity but even with a less than ideal key shot you should be able to still walk away with a birdie chris just laying it down the middle of the fairway eric's probably hoping to do the same thing maybe a little further it seems like the righties have i wouldn't call it an advantage here but they might be able to get a little bit more play out of their discs watching a little bit of a flex line there clemens with a stand...
