I'm the disc golf guy and we're here at the 2019 national collegiate championships this is doubles action coming at you from the steady at course North Carolina and Ferris State going head to head here Sam and Carl with the call I'm the disc golf guy and this is my video blog I'm joined by our tournament director John Baker and John third year that you're taking on this massive ordeal this PDG a major tell everyone what they should expect you at the collegiate nationals well Terry here at the collegiate national championships they should expect highest level of competition for co-agent discs off our teams have been competing all season working hard fundraising earning their bids and their invites to the national championship here at the International disco city well we've had a change of venue it what a perfect setting for everyone to come here we're still in the home of I'll say United States golf at least in Augusta and to be just outside of Augusta at our international center what a treat for everyone yes definitely to have the event here at the international disc golf centers definitely a treat we had the pdj staff they've been nothing but supportive of us in our 13 years of this event so to move it from the Hippodrome has been a huge change but we couldn't have asked for a better support and a better venue from the people today for sure so I'm gonna grill you with a few questions off the cuff how many total competitors we're at roughly 300 total competitors around 300 and how many different universities are representative schools we have 41 different schools represented some of the schools are bringing three teams we have Liberty they brought four men's teams and two women's teams as well so the future looks very bright for college disc golf anything you want to say to everyone before they go out there and watch them the doubles action yeah if you're ever interested in starting your club check us out at NC DGC calm and you can look for a guide on how to get into the competition we're always encouraging more teams and we love to grow the sport and everything we can so if you're a college student and you know some friends that play with you on campus it's time to...
