welcome back everyone to the back nine of the opening round at the 2018 memorial championships presented by disk craft I mean host Jerry Miller the disc golf guy and joining me is four-time world champion Valerie Jenkins Val a lot less water to contend with here on the back nine at the Fountain Hills course but we're looking forward to a really exciting opening event round here yep I'm hoping these ladies look are now warmed up after those first nine holes you can see the wind is still in play with that disc craft like blowing but hopefully these ladies can dial in these shots there's a lot of great opportunities for birdie back in this final nine and this shot is really just raw power if you're trying to get all the way to the basket here on hole number 10 381 feet but it's a very well protected green so it's really more about placement than it is even power yeah exactly you can't really tell from this angle but it does slightly go uphill and so you have to get your just to carry over the hill right there you'll see Colleen was at the top of the hill you know you want it if you have the distance you want to get up and over that hill and then the disc will kind of fade down to the basket hopefully Colleen's looking at saving her par from just inside the circle and she is short you gotta wonder if that tree branch there possibly hindered her sight wow that was a beautiful putt by Paige chin a nice wide-open view of the basket that's exactly what you want so that's landing the disc on the right side of the fairway and you don't have to even contend with that tree so that was a great clay little fist bump for one of our card mates in Katrina Alan great scoring spread here on ten would get a birdie by page Pierce the part by Katrina and the bogey by Connelly and Thompson and scores are still pretty tight just two strokes separating all three of these women and you even said there's three world champions here yep we got the four-time world champion right there page Pierce seeing if her distance can carry that disk of near the basket we've got it 2014 world...
