2017 Green Mountain Champs - Ricky Wysocki, Simon Lizotte, Nate Sexton, Drew Gibson - Rnd1 | Front 9

The 2017 Green Mountain Championships presented by Disc Craft is underway, and the action is heating up at Brewster Ridge. Simon Lizotte, Ricky Wysocki, Drew Gibson, and Nate Sexton are among the top players competing in round one. The disc golf pros face a challenging course with obstacles like OB rock walls and tree-lined fairways. Ricky Wysocki makes a great start, navigating his drive over the rock wall to set up an easy putt. Meanwhile, Simon Lizotte struggles with his tee shot, requiring a tricky approach shot that only a forehand can solve perfectly. As the round progresses, Drew Gibson shows off his birdie skills and Nate Sexton converts on his own chances. welcome everyone I'm the disc golf guy we're here at the 2017 Green Mountain Championships presented by disc craft round one action single camera by myself every Brewster Ridge Simon Lizotte Ricky Wysocki drew Gibson and Nate Sexton let's get right to the action my favorite German Simon lozad is on the tee no drew Gibson's gonna show up a little bit late to the action Nate looking for a little love from mr. Lizotte before we get started also before we get started pro tip make sure no one messes with your manual or auto focus I apologize these first three follows well fully be in focus Simon does make it around the bend you'll have a putt from there just a bit short this whole sets up perfectly for anyone with a forehand it is a nice little turn over if you have it but a forehand is definitely the preferred route as it finishes up into the right setting up very easily for the first three throwers here and true Gibson who admitted later in the round he only throws a forehand if he's in a lot of trouble we'll see if that happens he's got a great looking back and maybe with a mid-range or possibly even a putter and for the first part of the day Simon's is up he's happy with the line unfortunately a little too high had no problems for Wysocki outside of the circle it's a great start here on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon here at the disc golf Pro Tour event drew Gibson is going to follow up with a birdie himself after throwing that backhand and Saxons closest in the group also able to convert on the birdie we're gonna see a tap-in by Simon Lizotte and three birdies the first four attempts hole two is a much more challenging par-4 with OB rock wall on the right side okay right up the middle is where you really need to be Ricky kicks off a tree and then it's carries far enough right even though it was low it finds its way over the rock wall that's gonna be OB he it's the red paddle and keeping it low is crucial here because if you do get a kick off something you want to make sure it doesn't carry over the wall as it did with Ricky's and Simon's...
