Time Violations FINALLY Fixed In Disc Golf

The PDGA has announced new rule proposals that aim to address long-standing issues in the disc golf world. Disc golf enthusiasts Jefferson and his co-host discuss these changes in detail, highlighting key takeaways from an exclusive interview with Robert Leonard, a PDGA representative. The proposed rules include significant changes, such as removing the thrower's vote on determinations like out-of-bounds calls and introducing group determinations to eliminate ties. Another major change involves redefining what it means to "benefit" a player, shifting away from the current "benefit of the doubt" rule. These proposals are not yet in effect but aim to improve the game for players across all levels, including the Disc Pro Tour. Jefferson and his co-host provide an in-depth look at these changes, offering valuable insights for disc golf enthusiasts and helping to clarify what's new and what's next for the sport.

We got thousands of dollars in the line. Can't expect the best judgments out there. Another big factor for this change is because of the misunderstanding of what benefit to the player means. We really started thinking about it and this was mostly because the benefit of the doubt rule was a it is a tiebreaker. It is not a uh it's close, sure, whatever, you know, right? And that was so widely misunderstood that we just thought it was time to make this this massive shift. The issue this then brings up is all the players that will...
