First, I got to give a huge shout out to the people that made Park Day for me possible. the local government doing everything and anything to make this property the best they can. They literally installed a lake because Mr. Hul asked them. Plus, they forked over the cash to build those giant ass teapads, which ended up being completely overshadowed. For being the opening tournament at this track, I think it played pretty awesome, even if it looked like Minecraft at times. Some players even having to get creative with the horrible cell coverage. Apparently, that's getting fixed very soon. and knowing the local government, they'll do whatever it takes to be the future home of a major event. I don't know, something like Champions Cup. This is the type of course that I think deserves a prestigious title. Give it a reason to be extremely hard, then maybe less pros will complain. I'm sure you heard the comments being made all week about how this place isn't finished and how it wasn't ready, which might be slightly true, but I also think being challenged is okay. It's not like everyone was shooting overpar either. I mean, Tai Love came out day one with a six under, and then Ricky decided to shut up all the haters, blasting a 10 under, something that was supposed to be impossible. Missed a circle one putt, followed by a bogey to start his round, then bought his ticket to Spreadfest. Rattled off four birdies in a row, and just when he looked to be slowing up, snatched two more on the par threes.
