here we are with candidate for the 2024 PDGA board of directors it's Sean Clancy PDGA number 15289 out of north of Detroit Michigan Sean welcome let's get into it and let's talk about you and why you are a candidate for the PDGA board of directors first of all tell us a little bit about yourself yeah thank you I appreciate uh being on here um I've been a pdj member since 2020 uh I'm probably one of the many that came along in 2020 2021 um and I started playing disc golf because of the competition one thing that I love is you know you're going out you're playing different tournaments or you having a casual round but for me I'm pretty competitive um the fact that I can um really play against myself we have that rating and I love that aspect of it of course I want to win a tournament but you know I'm gauging myself to other competitors um I am a husband um a father of three kids um who uh you know I'm starting to get them throwing the the disc around a little bit and and they're liking and they're enjoying it um and so I'm excited for this opportunity and just really the future of disc golf well Sean something prompted you to want to throw your name in the hats and I want to dive in there and talk about what it is that prompted you to want to be a part of leading This Global body uh that guides the game of disc golf what issues what priorities do you hope to Champion if you find yourself elected to the board of directors yeah well actually last year I I contemplating you know throwing throw my name in there um I decided not to um but then actually I was watching Champions Cup this year and it was actually you grant you were talking about you know hey and it kind of re-entered my mind and I kind of went through the process and I'm like all right think I'm going to do it this year so that's but the reasons why is because I I've played a decent amount of tournaments in my last you know four years we'll call it and you know I think something um that we're obviously going to get into today but...
