this year the PDGA announced the inaugural Becky zalek award in memory of Becky salad a longtime member of the disc golf community and they handed out the very first Becky zelick award at the Players meeting before this tournament kicked off check it out the Becky zalek women's Choice Award is a new annual award created by the pdj's women's committee to Spotlight tournament directors in our sport who go above and beyond and promoting women's initiatives and women's women-friendly events the award is named in honor of the late Becky zalek a Disc Golf Hall of Famer whose Legacy of making differences in our sport continues we are pleased to present the inaugural Award of this year's U.S women's Disc Golf Championship the pdj women's committee is pleased to present the inaugural PDGA Becky's Alec women's Choice Award to Sarah Nicholson all right I want to keep you guys long because I know Jeff's about to ramble on about some boring rules no one wants to hear any minute now but when I work for the PGA I gave out so many of these and I really wanted so I'm really excited to be taking this one home it's so great to be here it feels weird getting this because I just want the women's panel and I'm staying with Pam and Sandy and there's so many great women JK and Dez and Barrett out there that I feel like should be up here instead of me but I'm just happy to be here guys uh I lost my dad three weeks ago he lost his battle with cancer and he always told me you got to do what you got to do with what you have to do it and that's what I try to do with throw pink I just try to do what I have to do for the women of the sport and the end cancer with what I have to do it and I really appreciate this guys thanks so much such a special moment for Sarah Nicholson she is obviously multi-talented she hosted this show for the last three days and she does so much more for the game of disc golf so so much less hours to grow this game to get women out there I mean not just women but she has sacrificed a lot and just so much love...
