PDGA members the board of directors elections for the 2024 calendar year are just around the corner seven candidates vying for your vote to fill several open seats on the board one of those candidates Leah cenny PDGA number 139109 Leah welcome I'm so glad you're here to join me today and to share with our members and our viewers why you are running for the board tell us a little bit of something about yourself for those that don't know you hi everyone I am Leah s Jenny I'm from Atlanta Georgia and I'm currently a full-time touring Pro on the disc golf pro tour um in my fourth year of playing disc golf and I am currently seeking reele reelection for my second term as a board member great stuff let's Dive Right In Leah and you have of course the perspective of having been on the board all already what issues or priorities do you want to Champion in this case should you be reelected to the board of directors yes so if you got a chance to read my candidate statement I mention two priorities and one of them is continuing to prioritize um diversity equity and uh inclusion in disc golf and so that includes initiatives that are coming through um the women's committee the diversity and Outreach committee um the youth initiatives and Senior initiatives that we have and um any initiatives uh including people with disabilities and those kinds of things um and I also really want to uh continue uh increasing awareness about disc golf um through the local levels of the sport and um making uh better internal processes and systems for us when we're um going out to uh the local level leagues and any sort of lower level tournaments like cers anywhere where we might meet a firsttime disc golfer I really want to improve the experiences of those players so that we can bring in um more members into the PDGA okay Leah and why are you the person for the job in other words you just named some very specific things that you want to spearhead and in that uh way you bring a unique as everyone does collection of skills of life experiences of work experiences education all of that can you tell us a little bit about that part of your background that makes you...
