hey I'm Brian scherger and I'm here today with Jay pontier and we're out here at Jones Park Jay is the designer of this course carrye area dis League formed in 2011 fast forward a couple of years to 2017 we had a lot of people in Raleigh and Wake Forest and buay and Holly Springs and Apex so I changed it to Capital Area dis League recently in the past I don't know 5 to 7even years I've seen a lot more military players coming in yeah uh I used to jump out of airplanes for a living on Fort Brag and it's a therapeutic there is a theraputic aspect to it now and the Brotherhood and Sisterhood of disc golf and just being in a community it's it's very valuable to soldiers back when I first started we had double all the time that's how I really got into the competitive scene now now that there's leagues how how's that coming about I always say since I'm Italian there's a lot of spaghetti to eat in the Raleigh area we have summer doubles and it's really great for beginner players to come out and meet people Network we also have a putting League at mom Brothers East Side every Tuesday you can kind of see the landscape of these entrylevel events all the way up to a PDGA major
