wherever you are welcome to Emporia Kansas as we wrap up the 2024 PDGA Masters Disc Golf World Championships you're looking live over the green at 18 here at Champions Landing 18 serving as the final hole in the final nine and that is The mp50 Division coming in John E McCrae pacing the field yeah welcome in everyone we have Johnny McCrae currently out in front by four he started the final nine with a five-stroke lead one of those guys that's been right there in contention all weekend long is Brian scherger schwebe throwing his third he had to pitch to here and looking to secure a second place finish and putting it over should do just that by the way that's Terry Miller I'm Grant zelner and we have got four groups coming in for you this late afternoon mp50 starting the show for us some big names in disc golf also to follow amongst these final 16 competitors part of 24 total divisions that were in play here in Emporia Kansas over the course of the past five days more than 800 players across those divisions yeah and if there is such a a s as saving the heat for last I think that's what we've done here this weekend in Emporia it's been extra hot for these last two days of competition out here the winds are back up today they were down just a little bit yesterday they were also down back on day number one but we knew that we'd get some Middle America golf this week and that's exactly what we got players dealing with really some very Gusty and unpredictable winds today on the final day which is kind of a propo I think well and these players being challenged out here at Champions Landing some of them playing 18 holes here this morning then coming back out for the final nine to play nine more of them we're talking 16 or 17,000 ft of golf before crowning our champion in a few of these divisions players making their way across the bridge and around to a basket location that was just put in how long ago was it this this past off season yeah I believe Jeremy rusco and champions Landing said Hey what if we move the basket from where it was in previous years to going across the...
