welcome to the 2024 PDGA amateur Disc Golf World Championships in Grand Rapids Michigan I'm Ashley picket I am Brook Johnson and we are here commentating on the fa1 round one front nine for Ace run Pro over at the very beautiful fallasburg Park disc golf course yeah it's located in LOL Michigan it's a part of a really big Park and this course is just nicely nestled right in the middle of the park it's beautiful our first round card we have Addison Woodard Brianna Vander gr Michaela cerr and Virginia poking horn this is a great card these girls have some power and they are really fun to watch all right here we go start of round one for am worlds we did have some crazy weather this morning that resulted in nearly a 2-hour weather delay welcome to Fallsburg disc off course in LOL Michigan I'm Ashley picket and I am Brook Johnson and we are here to give you a breakdown on hole one and how the fa1 girls are going to attack it all right let's get it all right we're here at hole one at Fallsburg it is a 587 ft par 4 uh very technical you've got the tight fa Fairway here to start with the tree in the middle there's some big bushes out a little bit farther and then another Tree Line before you get to the basket um there's a lot of kind of really good tight placement shots if you don't land really where you want to on this hole it's really hard to attack the green the goal is off the t-shot to try to land in that big open zone right there it's a nice landing Zone I have plenty of options to attack the pin from there come back pretty good bro yeah good that's where I want it get around the corner uh yeah right around the corner there yep all right so for my second shot I'm going to try to punch it over this tree line here and land back in the Fairway where it's open yep nice that's perfectly fine all right um so I'm going to try to take this left hand Gap here with a turnover hopefully it'll get me up there close enough for a putt for three if not it should be a pretty easy par unless I...
