welcome to Rock Hill South Carolina for the 2024 College dis golf National Championship presented by Inova we're jumping in to round three of our team championship here at College disc golf Nationals I'm Nathan Johnson joined in the booth today by Nick how's it going Nick it's going good I think we're going to have some good conditions out there today a very scorable course we're on uh excited to see this new track here yeah we've got UNC Charlotte and Ohio State on the card today like I mentioned earlier this is round three of the team competition round one was taken from the combined scores of the four individuals in their singles competition round two we did not have filmed coverage of happened over at winr Lake and now we are jumping in with round three here at Westminster East Park yeah uh this is whole one short downhill 298 ft par three So today we're playing with teams of four split into two and two so it's best shot alternate shot so there will be a pair that throws off the t- boox and then that a pair that will throw the next shot and they will alternate boxes Owen rice yeah so we've got Owen rice and Tom Stanley here from UNCC Charlotte taking the odds you'll kind of figure if you're unfamiliar with college doubles watching at home you'll you'll figure out the format pretty quick um this is a really nice shot going to get things started Tom coming up next they'll take the best shot of the two just like Nick said like we going with just a nice straight putter here hanging it out wide but it is going to make it through to Circle Edge they'll be taking that for sh carsi and then from Ohio State we've got Carson Smith and Ethan Owens taking teeing off on the odd holes Carson leaning things off nice there getting the ground play and B himself about 15 ft or so yeah not really much you can do to improve on that one see if Ethan can give this a little bit of an ace run for us a bit of an early release but that'll be just just fine take that first shot yeah interesting format here but it's a good way to uh get four people to play for one...
