The back nine holes prove to be a technical challenge, with players navigating tunnel shots through an oval-shaped gap in the branches of tall trees. Woodard takes an early lead but sees her advantage dwindle as she struggles to regain momentum after a double bogey on the front nine. With only the final nine holes left to play, Polkinghorne finds herself within striking distance, making for an exciting conclusion to this major championship event.
