welcome to the 2023 PDGA Masters Disc Golf World Championships from beautiful Flagstaff Arizona I'm Grant Zeller and I'm alongside the legend Terry Miller Terry you know I could say for example that I followed Tom Brady's career uh you know closely you could tell me what it smells like in the locker room I'm borrowing the analogy from the NFL of course and bringing it to disc golf because you have relationships with so many of the players here at Masters worlds uh there's more than 800 of them close to 900 of them and I would guess you know all but 10 or 12. not quite that many but thank you so glad to be here I've attended nearly 40 World Championships and I'm fortunate enough that I have gotten to know these people I've played against these are my people uh I'm of this age group and I've of course stepped aside to do a lot more media in the last few years but I am excited to be here at both the pro and the am world so many competitors and what a beautiful place for world championships as we said close to 900 total players here split almost 50 50 in terms of professionals and amateurs there are 13 divisions in the amfield there are 12 divisions in the Pro field going from age 40 all the way up to 80 plus we even have several mp80 players they are already on the course this morning got an early start as you might expect in that age group early to bed early to rise and maybe that's part of the reason why they're still going strong at 80 plus we're here at Little America it's a resort in the Flagstaff area a resort that did some very special things in order to be able to host us as a matter of fact we caught up with one of their leaders here his name is Ryan in charge of sales at the Little America Resort let's check this out my name is Ryan Kennedy and I'm the senior sales manager at the Little America Hotel our local disc golf club came to us and said hey we want to host a world championship PDGA event at your hotel we had some familiarity with it we we hosted 2003-2005. um and we thought it was a good...
