welcome to continuing coverage of the 2022 pdga united states women's disc golf championships it's grant zellner and sai ananda coming to you from madison wisconsin it's great to be back i'm super excited to watch some awesome women's golf today we've got the third card for you today in conditions that are markedly different from what they were on day number one wind much more down as a matter of fact practically still for a significant portion of the day also a little bit cooler uh cloud cover during the course of the day and what when there was was in an opposite direction from day number one taking a quick look at the leaderboard after the first round evelina salanine in the lead with that hot round of nine under par yeah really great round and it looks like a really really tight leader board with so many ties and so many people just one stroke apart you know look at that three tied in second three more tied in fifth four tied in eighth right now at six under par today we'll be watching henna valerie not pictured alexis mondojano also tied for eighth and then deanne carey at five under par rounds out our foursome for the day looking now at hole number one a 330 foot par-3 plane either around the right or the left of this big tree about 245 feet from the t-pad yeah this is a really interesting hole and i definitely saw a lot of players taking that right side gap instead other than a few sidearm players i saw maybe aided by the fact the wind was blowing from the right to the left i agreed looking at henna bloomroush from finland led the field in strokes gained tea to green yesterday ended up shooting about six under par good for a tie for eighth tells you she needs to get the putter working yeah absolutely it's always nice when your drives are coming together for you but you still have to finalize it and get it in the basket that right to left wind really helping today here on hole number one and you can see why yeah for almost any right hand backhand player that wind told you i'm gonna throw a nice wide hyzer this is one of the most wind exposed holes on the entire course...
