thank you the sun sets on day number one here at the 2022 United States disc golf championships and the throw pink disc golf championships I'm Grant Zellner as vendor Village Still rocking into the evening we recap a day of action out on the course foreign players ventured out onto the Winthrop Arena course this morning as the throw pink disc golf championships kicked off at the end of the day last year's Champion Missy Gannon at the top at seven under par Sarah Holcomb with the only bogey free round near the top of the leaderboard a six under par effort she sits tied in second with Katrina Allen Paige Pierce was all over the map today carting double bogeys and Eagles she finished the day and it's high for fourth she'll play on the lead card at three under par it's not all spectating at the 2022 throw pink disc golf championships and the U.S disc golf championships we also hung out at the PDGA Booth signing up new members to the PDGA and playing a few games I joined PGA because I really got into disc golf a couple years ago and I wanted to start being more competitive and the PDGA number kind of helped me track my stats my rating throughout tournaments about two years ago my buddy told me about had planning tournaments and I started doing it and been having a blast ever since EA number is two three four five six three I believe uh just signed up so it's a pleasure to join you know it feels lonely happy to hear at the top but you know uh definitely would never let anything like candy bribe me and you're becoming a member no I'm just kidding I love I love the sport and I'm truthfully very uh excited now to be outside of the tournament the national championship on the line as the mpo field takes Center Stage the first round of the United States Disc Golf Championship ends in a flourish with 17 looming late in the round positions changed rapidly and when the dust settled Noah five Ash and Garrett girthy played their way to lead card positions each tied for third at seven under par leading the way though Ricky wysocki and Nicholas antala at eight under par Ricky bogey free on the day including an eagle...
