it's the back nine of the final round of the 2022 pdga amateur disc golf world championships from southern indiana it's grant zellner and pavo stubstead drama building as we go into this back nine you can see right there the six stroke lead down to four ilkin charging getting i believe five birdies out of the last six holes on the front nine he really wants to win this event and matthew has been playing solid golf we see him here as well they both have a chance to chase down paul who has also been playing solid all weekend zachary tassone rounding out the lead card wowing the crowd with powerful forehand drives jumping to hole number 10. playing downwind 327 feet this par 3 with a mando on the right out of bounds the length of the hole on the left which pinches in very close to the basket as you can see right along that tree line the mando makes this hole really interesting to me if the mando wasn't there it would just be another stock hyzer around the trees to the right but the mando makes it a tricky shot you have a couple of different windows you can go for there both with low ceilings ilkin with the box and into the first available tree just making it about 180 feet down the fairway matthew quickly to play as per usual going for that forehand flex down the left side the same line ilkin was going for but matthew executes it a little bit of a flare there but he'll have a circle's edge look for the birdie looks like paul is lining up the forehand as well going down the middle gap i don't think that's what he intended and that's over the path but is that safe on this path is in bounds so he's just going to have a longer look for a birdie certainly no surprise seeing zachary go with the forehand zachary having to sort of dial back the distance scrubbing the distance off by just riding the turf right down the hillside that disc was no more than two feet off the ground for the entirety of the flight that was fun to watch milk in a 125 foot touchy up upshot he'll have to settle for a par here at the 10th paul from about 45....
