grant zellner wrapping up round number two at the 2022 las vegas challenge it's friday and a lot of fans started their weekend early so we ventured out to see what they had to say why is this event so unique what is what is it about this event that makes it so special you or heart heart heart i think that's in a movie or something but uh no this las vegas community we have a great group here and we all put our hearts in it and we meet every single month and say what can we do bigger better how can we bring more to the masses um and how can we make the experience great for everybody that is here whether it's you guys whether it's the spectator whether it's you know the top pros and whether it's a rec player we want it fantastic and bigger and better every year i figure if you smile at everybody you could change somebody's day with a smile so it doesn't matter who you smile at no matter what what where they hold themselves in a professionalism you smile at everybody what's been your favorite thing about the week so far um probably just the energy of everybody being here from you know different states and everybody comes together with the same common goal to have fun play disc golf and support each other in the world we love we're here to watch eagle mcmahon really have you gotten to see him play much so far uh yeah we got to see his first round okay so you'll be watching today as well yeah yeah okay have you seen him before in colorado you know he's from colorado too of course you know that yeah we've played tags match with him in like boulder oh that sounds like fun how do you how do you play do you consider yourself a an above-average disc golfer uh i don't know maybe maybe what's it like volunteering at the las vegas challenge uh it's very very rewarding jeff takes care of us real good and uh it's nice to have everybody out here because we're here for them are you a returning uh volunteer oh yes we were out here we built the t-pads uh there's a group of about 20 of us that have been here since 2015 doing...
