this is hayden henry with the pga coming to you from rocklin disc golf course the side of the fly mart at the united states women's disc golf championship earlier this morning we spent some time with the fp40 division julianna korver and jenny umstead battled back and forth before korver birdied 18 to take a one stroke lead heading into the finale of the uswd ggc it's been a joy well clearly nobody's ever played on a course with this many women before um but you know it's been it's probably been 18 years since i've played these courses and it just is really nostalgic and i'm so happy to come back and it feels like kind of like old home week and yeah i i'm just having a great time we all had our moments and we were all battling real closely to get today so i i don't know but could be the same group tomorrow i would be a little bit surprised if it's not yeah it was a fun round and some missed opportunities and hopefully can clean those up on the fpo side of things paige pierce came in with a four stroke lead over a tight race for second place hayley king firmly established herself in second place with the hot round of the day at 10 under but it's paige who's two strokes up on top heading into the finale with the pdga major on the line yeah i said i wanted to shoot at eight and that's exactly what i did uh left a couple out there but my putt felt so good i was jamming them from circle's edge or anywhere inside so i think i was 100 circle putting today circle one putting and that's all that's all that i care about seems like i got a whole new set of card mates tomorrow so you know that's that's what happens at a major championship you know you see more experienced players come out they know you know what it what do you call it moving day they know moving day is really important and i expected katrina and hayley king both to be up here shredding so and then you got player like jessica wiesu has been playing these courses since she was probably 10 years old so uh yeah it felt like i was definitely setting the...
