this is hayden henry with the pdga checking in from auburn regional park after day one of the united states women's disc golf championship out here at auburn today the fp40 division and the fpo field completed their first round before action shifts to two other courses throughout the weekend overall thoughts coming into this course was going to be the more technical and tougher of the three on the scorecards that definitely played out kona pandas went off early this morning and came in with a 200 par she was standing right here as the feature card went off and said that the 200 probably wasn't gonna stay i'm happy about it but i do think i could have got at least three or four more holes and just watching the ladies tee off i think we're gonna see some some better scores than that i was able to kind of open up on the back half with my drives and i my putt felt really good today so that was that was huge for me in general women's tournaments are always going to be like the most fun that you can have at an event so um that's that's never without a doubt and we are all trying to still be competitive and still have our heads in the game but that's a lot easier when you're having a good time too so it's cool to see some galleries out here also auburn in my opinion is my favorite course of the three it's really pretty and green it's it's easy to be happy there's lots of birds flying around and all kinds of action on the nature side we had a chance to catch up with paige pierce after her round so let's see what she had to say lots of birdies out here and i minimized the damage on i thought i was going to get a couple bogeys just with certain fairways having a lot of trees in them so i'm happy to get out of here with just one and lots of birdies this is the course with the most trees on it the most uh technical of the courses so i was assuming that this was going to be my worst round so to come out and be four strokes on top after this round i feel i feel very happy and i...
