welcome everybody cameron mckillin here on behalf of the pdga while the temperature may have been a little cooler here in utah on day two things on the course only heated up as players fought for a good spot on the leaderboard heading into the third day the ladies got to start their day at mulligan's with a little cloud coverage where paige pierce defended her spot as the early leader going bogey 3 through the first 13 holes paige finished 8 under shooting an amazing round rating of 10 18 and holding down a four-stroke lead through two rounds and 11-under oh it feels good you know breaking the ice i think i heard val say it yesterday you know it's all about getting off these first few rounds and kind of adjusting to the nerves adjusting to the different feelings that we haven't had in two years and uh you know now i kind of know okay those are the scores i need to beat now i need to put my foot on the gas now and i know at this point we have three three rounds left so it's almost like a new tournament i just have a four stroke head start making serious moves from the chase card katrina allen lisa ficus and kristen tatar will all be joining paige on lead card tomorrow both cat and lisa shot 1009 rated rounds at seven under par lisa finished her round bogey free while kat karted nine birdies and had a tough finish on the last hole we caught up with kat after the round to get her thoughts on her killer performance i just like to see me not roll away on 18 it was very infuriating i thought i played way better than my score set because i also rolled in the water on 15 and so those two strokes are really important and like i said i don't really feel like my score reflects how well i played today i just felt like i was close to shooting a great round but it's a solid round and i'm sure it moved me up a little bit over at the fort the mpo field took to the woods where we got to see a number of spectacular performances perhaps the highlight of the tournament so far was james conrad's giant ace he hit on hole...
